My Dear Friends! I am going to blog for you our journey, but please only keep the link to yourself. This blogging makes me a little nervous, but I will get the hang of it. I am doing the blog, instead of facebook, because I really only want to share our journey with my special friends. I will do some updates on FB, but this will be more detailed.
So, here goes...
Most of you know that Russ got laid off in California and headed back home. Our destination has been changing almost daily, depending on phone calls about where the work is. However, we are set to leave on Monday, January 2, 2012 to the frigid cold state of Minnesota! Yes, that's right, Minnesota. A far cry from the beaches of sunny southern Cali! And not just Minnesota, but VERY close to the Canadian border in a town called Cass Lake! But, I am super excited--I think Russ is a little nervous about the cold!
The good news is we have rented a cozy little cabin at a resort. There are very few cabins to rent this time of year because most of them are closed, they keep only a few open for ice fisherman, but we lucked into one. The RV parks were all closed because of the weather, so I don't get to be an RV Diva yet! So yes, I'm looking forward to the cozy little log cabin we will be staying in with our three dogs! The bad news...our cabin is without internet and cable TV! Oh yes, no internet! I'm just praying for a cell phone signal!!! On the bright side, the lodge at the resort has internet and cable TV, so I will be able to go there and blog.
I'm planning on getting a job, but not a permanent job since we might not be there long. We are renting our house and possibly putting it up for sale. I will keep you posted as to where our journeys take us!
